Should tanning beds be outlawed for all ages?

I don't think that tanning beds are necessary for children-- kids until 16. I realize that it is nice to have "color", but it does a couple things, in my opinion. 1) It builds our self-obsessed culture that we have to look good at all times. 2) Tanning, in moderation, can be good because of the sun's rays; however, tanning booths are not necessarily giving you the sun's positive rays.

No. If it were outlawed, bootlegger tanners would continue to do it in their basements. I, myself am included.

If it becomes illegal, do you think people would risk getting in trouble with the law for some color? And why should it be legal to do something to your body that is proven to cause harm or cancer. Mind-altering drugs are illegal, and what makes them better than cancer causing skin-burning?

I think they should be allowed 16+ years old. Especially when you are able to make decisions when you turn 16 because you get your driver's license and get to decide where you go or don't go.

I agree that it should not be outlawed for all ages. Up to a certain point, yes.

No, because if they are want to burn their skin and encourage premature skin aging and wrinkles, they will be regretting it a few short years from now. There is a market for it, I say they can go for it.
